OFTEC Oil (OFT10-101) is required for any operative wishing to carry out
work on domestic pressure jet appliances.
The candidate will be assessed in the following areas:
This 4 day course consists of 1 days training and 3 days assessment for:
OFT 101– Commission, service, maintenance of single stage pressure jet appliances. To enable Oil Technicians to obtain OFTEC registration. This allows service, commission and self-certify Pressure Jet burner install in accordance with the requirements of Part L of the current building regulations.
OFT 600A – Installation of oil storage tanks and supply systems to fixed combustion appliances. To enable Technicians to install and commission oil storage tanks.
OFT 105E – Installation of oil combustion appliances, heating and vented hot water systems. This installation and Energy Efficiency package is available for Technicians who wish to install pressure jet oil Boilers & oil supplies. Allowing installers to ‘self-certify’ their own work and meet the requirements of Part J of the current building regulations. Upon passing the assessment successfully will enable the Technician to register with OFTEC.

We supply loan copies during the course, however candidates wishing to register with OFTEC will need to purchase copies.

For the initial assessment candidates must meet the entry requirements as laid out by the OFTEC Assessment Scheme Rules (Category 1, 2 and 3).
Approximately 2 days training and 3 days assessment.
Assessment is carried out using a variety of methods including multiple choice, short written response, scenario questions and observed practical assessment.
