For candidates who want to start a career in plumbing. Successful completion of the qualification will mean that candidates are at an ‘lmprover/Plumber’s Mate‘ level.
The course is structed to suite a wide-range of learners with hands on workshop activities and a mixture of home study, classroom revision (optional).
Candidates will learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and career progression within the plumbing industry.
To achieve the qualification, candidates must complete the following mandatory units:
Candidates can progress into employment, an apprenticeship or continue onto the Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies.
If employment in the industry is secured, then learners can progress onto the Level 2 NVQ in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (6189).
It should be noted that achievement of the 6035 does not mean you are fully qualified. Completion of a 6189 NVQ is required.

Units will be assessed via online multiple choice tests, practical and written assessments.
